We bought our first marmoset 12 years ago, to add to our animal family. A local pet shop put us in touch with a USDA breeder in South Florida. We drove there to see the new baby, and they sent us progress pictures. We were going on vacation to the Keys, and arranged to pick Kong up on the way back. We picked him up, along with all his required belongings, such as carrying case, food, blanket, cuddly toy etc... 

I spent the journey home checking on him. He looked so small, all by himself. He soon became a huge part of our family. We were amazed how intelligent, and friendly he was. I had never been without a dog, cat or bird, but never anything like this!

He played and explored around the house, and life went on with Kong, we then decided to get another one, as company for him. After that we were all so enamored by these little monkeys that we never looked back. We now have quite a few, all different, all equally as charming and individual. I look at them sometimes thinking, "It all began with Kong".

As the monkey family has grown, so has our own. The monkeys have been a big part of our growing family my daughter even had a marmoset cake topper at her wedding surrounded by family and friends and the monkey family. 

We now have a new generation of animal crazy people who also adore the marmosets although at the moment from a safe distance.
