we are, and so are our Marmoset family members. There is a lot of foraging, chasing and swinging from rope to rope going on. I will try and post a video of that very soon on our instagram We are busy doing maintenance work on the cages, like everything else the enclosures need the greenery thinning out. Our marmosets like to forage and hide, but I like to be able to see where they are and do a head count while feeding them. Elsa (the little lady in the photo above) is living in our morning room at the moment and has become part of the family, she loves to play peek a boo and call out to the dog, and when the cat falls asleep on the windowsill next to her cage she pulls his tail! Honestly Max , our cat, is so laid back he just opens one eye and moves his tail away from her then goes back to sleep. He must have marvelous blood pressure, definitely no stress in his world! I am delighted to say, they are very healthy, a good weight and already alert. Not bad for days old, very proud of them. We are feeding a couple through the night, every hour at the moment, but it’s a family thing. So Steve and I share the responsibility, that way we are both overtired and cranky. 😜 But they are the cutest things even at 3 am!

It's maintenance time again on our marmoset enclosure, as you can see we are never short of helpers! Our marmosets have indoor/outdoor enclosures, it's important that they get access to sunshine for adequate vitamin D, without this their health can suffer, and they can become dangerously ill. Our marmosets love the early morning sunshine and lie on the branches soaking in the rays, but make sure they can get in to the shade when they need to. They also need shelter from rain and cold, their natural habitat is warm, so keep that in mind when planning their home. From a personal point of view, I like them to have branches, foliage and places to forage. It's great to watch them hiding in the leaves and actually racing around their enclosure. When in the wild they can travel miles a day and live mostly high up in the trees. We have soft ground cover, although they are monkeys, they can fall. It's much safer to land somewhere soft.
